100% Middle Earth 100% New Zealand – New Tourism (Sponsored) Video

I love the new tourism video from New Zealand Tourism which is an homage to some of the scenes from the Lord of the Rings and of the upcoming Hobbit movies. Travelers are shown in some of the same fantastic landscapes that people fell in love with in those movies. Clearly they are targeting the release of the Hobbit later this year (planned to release on my birthday in December).
As some of you know I spent 2 weeks exploring the North Island of New Zealand 2 years ago and still would love to have the time to get back and explore the South Island. I had a few adventures of my own including blackwater rafting in glow worm caves.

One thing I am jealous about is that since this is a video from the tourism board, they got to show video from Hobbiton (or at least the movie set for Hobbiton) which is located on a ranch outside of Matamata. I also toured the site but had to sign documents that said that I would not share the photos that I took on the internet. So this is the first photo of the set that I have included on the site.

This is so true! The urge to travel to New Zealand becomes deeper & stronger after you see those movies. Classic Beauty!
