This month on the Amateur Traveler facebook fan page I am having a photo contest with the theme “Shadows”.
This picture “Horse and Rider on the Beach” is from Chuck Berg
Chuck says:
I was sitting on the patio, listening to classical music while sipping some fruity drink and watching the sunset off the coast of Moorea in French Polynesia. I happened to glance to my left, and saw a horse and rider approaching. I quickly grabbed my camera, and focus, zoom, snap – in just a few seconds I had a picture. But this was film, so I had no idea what I had actually captured. Seeing the results, you can imagine how pleased I was when I got my slides in the mail and saw this one. As I look at this photo today, I can’t help but think that I have no idea who this woman was, and I doubt she had any idea that I had taken her picture. But nonetheless, I am thankful for the beautiful image she gave me.
