This photo of snow capped peaks was taken from the Whakapapa Ski Area in New Zealand’s Tongariro National Park. Tongariro National Park is located in the center of the North Island of New Zealand. While the ski area was covered with snow, one can easily drive down the mountain and out of the snow, even in winter.
